A white, opaque pigment utilized in paints and plastics for its flame-retardant properties. It is employed to enhance the fire resistance of various materials. Although it offers better opacity compared to extenders, it is not as effective as titanium dioxide in terms of opacity. Antimony oxide is commonly used in industries where flame retardancy is crucial, such as construction, automotive, and electronics.
