1.Water which is held on the surfaces of a material by electrochemical forces; its physical properties are substantially different from those of absorbed water or chemically com- bined water at the same temperature and pres- sure. 2.Water which is bound to soil particles as a result of the attraction between electrical charges on their surfaces and water molecules.
